Sigit’s research interests focus on carbon monitoring, greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory, and restoration assessment and mapping across mangrove and peatland ecosystems. He uses interdisciplinary research approaches, such as systematic review, meta-analysis, spatial mapping, and field assessment. His works are closely relevant to policies and decision-makers, specifically by providing science-based evidence for nature-based climate change solutions through wetlands conservation and restoration. He has more than 12 years of experience working across mangroves and peatlands in the Asia Pacific region.
